The Melrose Police Department is proud to support the 2022 Boston Run to Remember, a half-marathon and 5-mile race first run in Melrose 18 years ago, that honors the sacrifice of law enforcement officers and first responders.

The Boston Run to Remember was started by police officers and their friends to show support for first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty. All proceeds from the run support local youth and community programs and other local charities.

“We appreciate their efforts to recognize the sacrifice of law enforcement officers and first responders, while also doing good for the community,” said Chief Michael Lyle. “We are proud to support their efforts.”
