A snowstorm affecting Melrose could result in an accumulation of as many as 12 inches, according to the National Weather Service. The snow is expected to begin overnight tonight, Thursday 2/24, and continue through Friday afternoon. Please continue reading to stay-in-the-know about the snow.
- The City of Melrose will implement an emergency parking ban from Thursday night (2/24) beginning at 2:00a.m. until Saturday morning (2/26) at 7:00a.m. On-street parking is prohibited during this time.
- Melrose City Hall will be closed.
- The Milano Center will be closed.
- The City Yard will be closed.
- The Melrose Public Library will be closed.

Driving Conditions & Shoveling After the Storm
- The City encourages everyone to stay off the roads on Friday as much as possible, to give plow operators the room they need to effectively plow our streets.
- The City would appreciate everyone’s assistance in clearing catch basins, fire hydrants, and sidewalks in their neighborhood after the storm.

- Pickup will take place for residents whose trash and recycling is normally picked up on Thursdays
