Wounded Veterans Motorcycle Ride to Pass Through Melrose Sunday

MELROSE — Chief Michael L. Lyle wishes to remind Melrose residents that an annual motorcycle ride honoring wounded combat veterans will be passing through the city on Sunday afternoon.

The Wounded Veterans Motorcycle ride will begin in Revere between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, and riders are expected to enter Melrose approximately 45 minutes later. They are expected to be riding along city streets for another 45 minutes. Residents should anticipate delays between 1-3 p.m.

Riders will enter the city via Washington Street and travel along Washington Street to the Lynn Fells Parkway, then along Main Street into Wakefield. Past rides have hosted thousands of riders raising money for wounded veterans, and other motorists are encouraged to avoid the area while the ride passes through Melrose.
