Melrose Police Business Phone Lines Down Due to Verizon Issue

911 Up and Running, As is 781-662-4216 For Police Non-Emergency Business

MELROSE — Police Chief Michael L. Lyle reports that the Melrose Police Business line, 781-665-1212, is currently OUT OF SERVICE due to a widespread Verizon telephone outage that appears to be widespread.

Residents with emergencies should always dial 911, and 911 service has NOT BEEN AFFECTED by the outage.

Additionally, those with non-emergency inquiries for the Melrose Police Department can call 781-662-4216, which remains in service and working.

More information and updates will be posted as soon as they become available. Chief Lyle and the Melrose Police Department thank everyone for their patience as this matter is worked out.
