Melrose Police Offering Second Free Car Seat Installation Event on July 31

Previous Event in June Drew Record 53 Families

WHAT:

Melrose Police Chief Michael L. Lyle announces that police officers will be offering Free Car Seat Installations to all Melrose Residents for a second time this summer.

This early evening event builds on the popularity of a June’s morning installation event that drew 53 families.

The officers will be installing car seats in residents’ vehicles, as well as showing them how to properly secure the seats and their children inside them.

Officers will also identify defective or malfunctioning car seats!

The installations are offered at no cost to all Melrose residents.

Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 5-7 p.m.

WHERE:

Behind the Melrose Police Station, 56 West Foster St., Melrose, MA 02176.

WHO:

Several Melrose Police Officers will be on hand. The free installations are for Melrose residents.
