Chief Michael Lyle and the Melrose Police Department report that a parking ban will go into effect toady, Saturday, Jan. 7, due to the snow storm.

There will be no parking on residential streets from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Additionally, there will be no parking in municipal lots from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. 

This parking ban does not affect residents with overnight parking permits.

The Melrose Police Departments advises residents to stay home if possible to allow the Melrose Department of Public Works to efficiently plow streets.
