On Thursday January 10, 2013 at approximately 11:50pm the Melrose Police Department received multiple 911 calls for reported shots fired in the area of West Wyoming Avenue near the intersection of Main Street.

Units that responded were met by witnesses that were in the area at the time. It was apparent that several shots were fired from a vehicle into a multiple unit residence at 19 West Wyoming Avenue.

After determining that there were no injuries, the scene was secured and Melrose Police Detective unit responded and processed the scene. Detectives were able to locate several rounds that had lodged in the front of the building. These rounds are believed to have been fired from a handgun.
